We will be holding several parent workshops across the year which will help you to understand how your child is working in class and how they are learning. We welcome all parents and carers to these sessions as they will give you information on how best to support your child from home. If you are unable to join us, we will post all the information booklets on the website.

Interest in the school

You may wish to be involved with the school in a variety of ways. You may like to take part in making things for the school such as books, dressing-up-clothes or by repairing toys, gardening reading stories, etc. Any such help is very welcome – please see a class teacher.

At Whitehall Park School, we are constantly looking for further ways to involve parents and the wider community. If you would like to be involved, please speak to your class teacher.

We will be planning to go on many educational visits and we can’t do these trips without the support of parents and carers. If you are interested in accompanying us on such trips then please let us know.

Communicating with the school

We encourage you to make contact with your child’s key person and their classroom teacher. Whether it is communicating details about your child and how they are feeling, voicing concerns, seeking advice on how to best support your child at home or a great idea you would like to share; we welcome all input. If you require more than a few minutes in the morning then please make an appointment.

Each term we will send out a newsletter detailing what we are going to be learning in Reception. Please take time to read these carefully as they will have important dates and information which support learning.

Each term you will be invited to parents evening. This is an opportunity for you to find out about what is working well for your child in their school life and what they might need more support with.

We will have important dates for the diary posted on the school website as well as being available on the weekly newsletters so check these regularly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
