Absence and lateness

Good attendance and punctuality are essential to the children’s success at school. 

When children miss large amounts of school, they lose far more than lessons. Lost learning affects academic attainment, wellbeing, relationships, confidence and future opportunities. Over time, it can limit a child’s ability to thrive in life and increases pressure on statutory services, including health, social care and the justice system.

Reporting school absence

We take absence very seriously and follow up all non-attendance, every day. If your child is sick or off school for any reason, you are required to report the absence by calling 0207 561 0113 or writing to office@whitehallparkschool.org.uk giving the reason for the absence.
